When Medical Care Was Personal

Remember when medical care was this personal?  In 1961, Dr. Elliott P. Joslin, the founder of the famous Joslin Clinic in Boston, sent a letter directly to the family of one of his young patients with an optimistic message.  (Thanks to Laurie for sharing this bit of her history. Today, she continues with “more hope for her future,” aging well, with 72+ years with T1D!)
